Luiz Fernando Ferreira

I am a Linguist and I work as a professor at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR). There, I usually teach syntax, semantics and language acquisition. I am also at the postgraduate programme in letters (PPGL) of UFRR. I have a bachelor degree in Linguistics and Portuguese by University of São Paulo (USP/ 2010 - 2015), a master degree in Letters at USP (2015 - 2017, CAPES grant) and a Ph.D. also at USP (2017 - 2022, CNPQ grant). I have been to MIT as a visiting student (2019-2020 CAPES grant). I have worked with describing the grammar of Brazilian Native Languages and Brasilian Portuguese. My analysis generally focus on semantics and pragmatics and its interface with morhplogy and syntax. I have worked with the following subjects: Mood, Modality, Tense, Aspect, Counterfactuality, Noun phrases, Subordination, Quotative Constructions and Active Methodologies.
